Let's take a look at the common ones.Micro reduction motorAdvantages and disadvantages
1. Electromagnetic induction micro reduction motor
It consists of a single-speed multi-speed squirrel-cage asynchronous motor and an electromagnetic induction moving clutch. It is also known as a crawling motor. It is a constant torque communication AC stepless micro reduction motor. It is widely used in printing equipment, staplers, wireless network subscriptions, high-frequency drying equipment, and chain boiler grate control.
Advantages: compact structure, small control system volume, low price. Reliable operation, easy maintenance. No harmonic interference.
Disadvantages: high speed loss, as the electromagnetic induction moving clutch itself has a very large movement, the input shaft's high speed ratio is only 80%~90% of the motor's synchronous transmission; during the speed change process, all transmitted output power is converted into heat loss, resulting in low efficiency and serious overheating issues.
2. Frequency conversion micro reduction motor
Frequency conversionMicro reduction motorRefers to motors driven by frequency converters. Frequency conversion motors are generally referred to as frequency conversion motors, which are driven by frequency converters. Motors specifically designed for frequency conversion are actually motors specially used for frequency conversion. Under the drive of frequency conversion, the motor can achieve different types of speed ratios and torque to meet the changing load requirements.
Advantages: no additional movement loss, high efficiency, wide starting torque; suitable for low load usage time, or frequent start-stop operations, can achieve energy-saving protection and motor effects.
Disadvantages: more complex technology.
3. Variable multi-speed motor
In some special drag circuit boards, single-speed motors are required; sometimes three or four speed motors are necessary. The basic principle and control measures of this multi-speed motor are basically the same. It is widely used in CNC lathes, mining, metallurgy, textiles, dyeing factories, chemical plants, and various transmission machinery. The multi-speed ratio specifications of the same motor are solved by the different interface methods of the same winding and the multiple winding interface methods of the same motor.
Advantages: no additional movement loss, high efficiency; simple control circuit, easy maintenance, good quality and low price; combined with electromagnetic induction moving clutch can achieve stable high-efficiency speed change.
Disadvantages: stepless speed regulation, difficult to achieve stepless stable speed change. Due to the limitations of motor structure and processing technology, generally only 2~3 types of pole pairs can be achieved in a stepwise manner, and the speed ratio range is very limited.
4. DC motor adjusts synchronous motor working voltage and excitation speed
DC motors are a type of stepless motor with good speed characteristics, but their maximum starting speed is subject to significant limitations due to the presence of the motor commutator.
Advantages: high cost performance of speed change, various speed change methods, high efficiency.
Disadvantages: cannot be used for high-speed operation, must be equipped with motor brushes and motor commutators.

Introduction to Micro DC Gear Motors
Introduction to Micro DC Gear Motors Micro DC gear motors are a miniaturized motor system, typically consisting of a DC motor and a gearbox. Here are some related introductions to micro DC gear motors: DC Motor Section: Working Principle: The DC motor generates current by moving a conductive coil in a magnetic field, thus producing electromagnetic force to drive the motor's rotation. Structure: Micro DC motors usually adopt a separate structure, including an armature (rotating part) and an electromagnet (stator part). Types: Common types of DC motors include brushed DC motors and brushless DC motors. Brushed DC motors use brushes to connect to the armature, while brushless DC motors control current through an electronic speed controller, eliminating the need for brushes. Gearbox Section: Function: The gearbox is used to slow down the motor's output speed while increasing torque. This is crucial for applications requiring higher torque and lower speeds, such as robotic arms and camera gimbals. Structure: Gearboxes typically consist of gears that achieve the reduction ratio through different gear combinations. The reduction ratio is the ratio of input speed to output speed. Types: Common types of gearboxes include planetary gears, worm gears, and helical gears. Different types of gearboxes are suitable for different application scenarios. Applications: Micro DC gear motors are widely used in various fields, including consumer electronics (such as cameras and printers), medical devices, robotics, and automotive electronics. In these applications, micro DC gear motors are typically used to control precise movements, provide sufficient torque, and achieve efficient performance in limited spaces. Control and Drive: Micro DC gear motors usually require corresponding electronic speed controllers or controllers to precisely control rotation speed and direction. The control system can adjust the motor's output according to application needs, achieving precise position control and speed regulation. Performance Parameters: The performance parameters of micro DC gear motors include rated voltage, rated speed, rated torque, efficiency, etc. These parameters are crucial for selecting and designing motor systems. In summary, micro DC gear motors have been widely applied under the trends of miniaturization, precision, and efficiency, providing reliable driving force for many electric devices and systems.
